In August 2015, two school friends started BeatO to conquer their battle with diabetes. Hence starting a journey to revolutionize the diabetes care system for people across India.

Soon, they launched the BeatO App to empower people with Diabetes to control their condition and achieve positive health outcomes. They used technology to provide awareness of the correct information and access to affordable, high-quality diabetes care via top doctors and medical experts.


BeatO is India’s largest virtual diabetes care platform. It provides clinically proven, comprehensive diabetes care programs to prevent, control & reverse* diabetes under the guidance of medical experts. In short, BeatO is on a mission to beat ‘O’ - the Chakravyuh of Diabetes that has already encompassed over 100 million people in India.

BeatO’s ecosystem includes its innovative app that works with smart glucometers to provide personalized care insights and 24x7 access to an experienced team of medical experts – top doctors, health coaches and nutritionists to beat Diabetes. Our clinically proven approach has been published in several global journals, such as the American Diabetes Association (ADA), showing best-in-class health outcomes, with an average reduction of HbA1c (3 month average sugar levels) by 2.16% in just 3 months of enrolling into the BeatO Diabetes Care Programs.

BeatO has been awarded the National Startup Award by the government of India (An initiative by the Honorable Prime Minister Of India- Narendra Modi Ji) for its services to the nation in the healthcare sector and was recognized by BBC World News for taking diabetes care to the remotest corner of India.

Meet The Team

Gautam Chopra

CEO and Co-founder at BeatO

With an MBA from the prestigious ISB, Hyderabad, and 6 years of international experience in business strategy, Gautam wanted to do something for the people of his country. In 2015, he quit his job as Head of Business Development & Sales Steering at Lufthansa, in Brussels, moved back to India, and began his entrepreneurial journey by starting BeatO along with his school-time friend Yash Sehgal.

Thanks to his business (Vandhana International private ltd.) and his highly acclaimed MBA college - IIM, Kozhikode, Yash has a strong background in manufacturing, business development and strategy. To solve his personal struggle of managing diabetes Yash Sehgal co-founded BeatO, which now helps millions of other Indians do the same.

Kunal Kinalekar

CTO and Co-founder at BeatO

Engineer by qualification, Kunal was the head of technology for Performics.Convonix, a part of Publicis Groupe, for 10 years. Over there he helped market leaders like Tata Motors, HDFC, Axis Bank, etc. with marketing analytics and digital transformation of businesses. He was also the technology lead for GDD - Publicis Groupe, and worked closely with global clients like P&G (EU), AirAsia (APAC) and others to automate their digital marketing suite. Kunal has a passion for technology - he is an app developer himself and has been a part of 'Apple Labs' program too.
