Diabetes-Friendly Garlic Methi Recipe

Fenugreek helps in the regulation of your blood sugar levels and also helps in the production of insulin. It slows down digestion and also the absorption of carbohydrates and sugar into your body. This is the reason why fenugreek/ methi is highly recommended for diabetics.

How to make Diabetes-Friendly Garlic Methi

Ingredients:

  1. 250 gmGreen Cut Methi
  2. Half Garlic
  3. 500 gm Yam/ Arbi ( suran)
  4. Salt and pepper – to taste
  5. Chilli flakes – to taste
Diabetes-Friendly Garlic Methi

Method:

  1. Wash and cut the methi.
  2. Peel and chop the garlic
  3. Wash and cut the suran.
  4. Now boil this suran in salt and turmeric.
  5. Heat a non-stick pan and brush oil over it.
  6. Add chopped garlic and chilli flakes.
  7. As the garlic turns slightly brown add the boiled and drained Suran. Keep the flame high.
  8. Now add chopped methi and lastly, salt and pepper as per taste.
  9. Cook for some time.
  10. Turn the flame off. Serve with chapati or rice.
