Tasty & Healthy Junglee Saag Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Sarson / Poi/ Haak
  • 1 cup Spinach
  • 6-7 Cloves Garlic roughly chopped
  • 1 inch Ginger – roughly chopped
  • 1 Onion roughly chopped
  • 1 Tomato roughly chopped
  • 1-2 Dry Red Chilli
  • 1 tsp Hing
  • 1 tsp Coriander
  • ½ tsp Jeera
  • ½ tbsp Red Chilli Powder
  • ¼ tsp Garam Masala
  • ½ tbsp Coriander Powder
  • ½ tsp haldi
  • Salt
  • 2-3 tbsp Mustard Oil

Method 

  • In a heated kadhai, pour in mustard oil and allow it to reach its smoking point.
  • To this kadhai, add whole spices, followed by onions, ginger, and garlic.
  • For the next step, add tomatoes and sprinkle the dry masalas. without becoming overly mushy.
  • Combine all the greens and continue cooking until the excess water has evaporated.
  • This Junglee Saag pairs perfectly with a multigrain roti.
